FAQ

what is energy work?
Everything is made up of energy. Whether it's air, water, food, our body or a mountain, it's all energy. It is proven that our thoughts and intentions can influence and direct energy. Energy work is using that influence with faith, purpose and skill.

At the most basic level we all do "energy work". Hugging someone, allowing a friend to share their feelings, exchanging a smile with a stranger. All of these things effect the energy within our physical and spiritual bodies.

As a energy work practitioner, I have developed the skill to feel and "read" your energy. My intention in an Intuitive Energy and Emotional Release Session is to help move the stagnant emotional energy so that your body, mind and spirt can bring about healing on its own. I may use tools such as crystals, tuning forks, visualization, inner child work, meditation, and/or Reiki during our session.
what is Reiki?
Reiki (pronounced RAY-KEE) is an energy healing technique that was developed in Japan. By using certain hand positions, a reiki practitioner, is able to offer relaxation and well-being to your body.

Breaking down the word reiki may help you understand:
"Rei" means "universal" or "unseen" and "ki" means "life force" or "vital energy"

So, Reiki is simply a way to increase the Universal Life Force energy within you. This energy spans across traditions, cultures and religions. You may have heard of "Chi", "Prana" or "Light". These are all referring to that Vital Energy that creates life.

Increasing this Vital Energy can shift emotions, blocks, and dis-ease in a gentle relaxing way.
how did you become interested in this work?
I didn't find energy work, it found me.
It became part of my life while sitting in bed late one night. I heard the words “go put your hands on his stomach and pray over him.
My son had been experiencing a sore tummy for a few months at that time. These
words were such an obscure idea to me that I knew it hadn’t come from me.
So, I listened.
The best way to describe what my hands felt like when I put them on him was pure energy pouring through them. It was exhilarating. And healing followed.
My own healing from panic attacks, anxiety and body aches and pains was found in emotional release techniques. Using these techniques to rid my body of excess, dense energy truly changed my life. The fog, pain and fear lifted.
Since that initial experience with my son 8 years ago, I have studied, practiced and immersed myself into many forms of energy work including sound therapy, reiki, emotional release, inner child work, and lots more. I go wherever God leads me!
I am a certified Reiki Master, Chakra Healer, Tuning Fork Practitioner and Optimize life coach., and an avid practicer and reader of all things spiritual and healing.
what should i do to prepare for a session?
Before we meet, prepare a quiet comfortable place where you can lay down for our session. Plan to be somewhere that you will not be disturbed.

You may want tissue close by.

You may want a notebook or journal close by to write in after our session is over.

Practicing meditation, prayer, and stillness before we meet is helpful to get your body into a relaxed state. Even if just for a couple of minutes.
what does a typical session look like?
All of my sessions are done distantly, meaning, we will simply connect on a video call for it. You will receive a link to Google Meet whe you book a session. At the session time, click on the link. Distance sessions work the same as in-person sessions and does not affect the quality of the energy work.
Once on our call and we get introduced, I will connect to your energy. This allows me to tune into imbalances in your body, mind and spirit. I use muscle testing or a pendulum to name the emotions that are present.
This work is deeply spiritual. During our session you may feel sensations like hot, cold, tingling, itchy or heaviness. You may also find you have pictures, words or certain memories come up. It’s best to trust that these are being Divinely guided and that if something comes up, it was meant for you.
After a session you may feel tired or energetic, it’s all about what you released and how your body is dealing with it. Some people have a long nap, some need a walk. Just listen to your body.
how often would you recommend a session with you?
I would recommend that you listen to your own intuition about when and how often to have a session. If you are feeling like you would like regular sessions, I would recommend once a week. I would also recommend you make it a daily practice to use the tools we use in a session. If you would like to incorporate emotional releases regularly in your life, we can come up with a plan together! just ask!
